Where is a good place to buy yarn?

Ocean State Job Lot!! They have great yarn for around $2 per skein. I know for a fact that the one in East Haven, CT has a huge selection. Check out Walmart or other bargain stores before going to craft stores...you will save big bucks!

Who are these shawls going to?

The shawls will be donated to cancer patients in CT and MA. Please contact me if you are interested in handing them out with me.

How much does it cost?

Only the price of supplies which can be found at Ocean State Job lot for cheap. For an estimate, I bought all 3 skeins of yarn and my needles for under $10. Also, there is an option to donate for people who do not have the funds. Please email me if you cannot afford the supplies. (I have sympathy for you college-goers I was there once...I will do the best that I can.) If I bought your supplies please donate back if you are able.

I am afraid to make the commitment because I am scared that I won't finish...what should I do?

Don't worry, if feel that you are running out of time, I can help you finish the shawl.

When should I have my shawl done by?

October 12, 2008 is the deadline. If you are unsure if you can finish by then please contact me.

How do I hand in my shawl?

I hope to have a gathering where everyone brings his or her shawl. So that we can really see the difference that we have made. Also, it is very inspiring to read the quotes that others have choosen to pin to his or her shawl. This event will be held in CT, so if you cannot make the event, you can give them directly to me or mail them to:

I am soooo tangled.....what should I do?

I will be hosting informal knitting sessions in the Milford Area. Be sure to check the Updates page for events that I schedule. These sessions are also meant for just hanging out and having some good company while you knit.
