You can join the Jaycees if you are between the ages of 21-40. Being part of the Jaycees is a great way to get connected with your community. Personally, I have just started with the Jaycees this past September. My first event was a wine-tasting event that I really enjoyed. The main reason that I wanted to join was for the community service. However, I have enjoyed a range of events from meeting new people at SBC in Milford to playing Bingo at Foxwoods (AND WINNING a $1000 pot....too bad 12 also hit on that same pot huh?).

You can attend any Jaycee events without being a member. Just show up to any event...if you feel like letting us know you are coming-you can email me-I would love it!. Check out the Jaycee Calendar for our next event.

Jaycees are as committed as he or she wants to be. There are some members that we have one event that they love....and that is the only one they go to. Some Jaycees, (myself included), love to show up to as much as they can and help plan (or lead) huge projects.

Right now is the best time to join the Jaycees! The Milford Chapter is on the smaller side so you can make the Jaycees into anything you want. It is very easy to become a lead (especially for those of you who would love to help but can be intimited).

The Jaycees stands for Junior Chamber of Commerce. If you do join it is 55 dollars for the year. But feel free to come to events as a non-member. Also, whether you or aren't a member you can always bring friends. The advantage to being a member is that you can lead projects and also the chapter pays for many of the events.

Who else is a Jaycee?
former presedents Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford;
business tycoons such as Domino's Pizza mogul Tom Monaghan;
sports legends such as basketball great Larry Bird;
and Elvis Presley received our TOYA award.
